MIAMI – April 11, 2013 – Miami Art Museum, reopening as Pérez Art Museum Miami in a new, expanded facility, now under construction in downtown Miami’s Museum Park, will hold the Sixth Annual MAM Corporate Luncheon on Friday, May 17, with special remarks by Craig Robins, president of Dacra, regarding how the arts have transformed South Florida.
Every year, South Florida’s business, civic and cultural leaders attend the Luncheon in celebration of the corporate community’s integral support of the arts throughout the region, with proceeds benefiting the Museum’s public and educational programming. Miami Art Museum will present Corporate Honors to Miami-based private investment firm MBF Healthcare Partners, whose leadership in corporate philanthropy has made a major impact on the South Florida community.

Craig Robins’ development company, Dacra, played an integral role in the repositioning and revitalization of Miami’s South Beach through the restoration of Art Deco landmarks and developed mixed-use projects on Lincoln Road and Española Way, and transformed a once abandoned neighborhood – the Miami Design District – into one of the most important global centers for cutting edge design, fashion, food and art. Robins is also a principal of the leading international design show Design Miami/ and Design Miami/ Basel.
MBF Healthcare Partners Chairman Miguel B. ‘Mike’ Fernandez has given to many South Florida institutions. Last December, Fernandez announced a $5 million donation to the capital campaign for Pérez Art Museum Miami to ensure that South Florida children have the opportunity to experience a world-class art museum and art education programming. His community service endeavors have included serving on the boards of the United Way of Miami-Dade County and the University of Miami. Fernandez has been honored frequently in recognition of his business acumen and community service.
