Pérez Art Museum Miami Celebrates Gala Kick-Off and Announces Nearly $1.5 Million in Ticket Sales
MIAMI - Tuesday, October 1, 2013 –Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) supporters celebrated the upcoming Premiere PAMM Gala at a Kick-Off event on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Tickets to the Gala, the Museum’s most anticipated event to date, sold out immediately, with only a few sponsorship opportunities remaining. Premiere PAMM Gala co-chairs Constance and Miguel B. ‘Mike’ Fernandez, who recently made a gift of $5 million to PAMM’s capital campaign, hosted the intimate celebration in their private home, attended by Arlene and Harvey Chaplin, Ana Cristina and Edgardo Defortuna, and Susana and Alberto Ibargüen.
More than 700 people are expected to attend the highly-anticipated Premiere PAMM Gala on Saturday, December 7, 2013, honoring Darlene and Jorge M. Pérez, who donated $40 million in cash and art to the Museum. The event celebrates the anticipated opening of the Museum’s new, state-of-the-art facility designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron. PAMM Gala guests will enjoy a magical evening, including a private concert by GRAMMY® Award-winning Latin artist Marc Anthony; an exclusive viewing of PAMM’s opening exhibitions; dinner by famed restaurateur Stephen Starr; and gourmet ice cream by Miami’s favorite iced cream company, Azucar, who will create custom artisanal flavors for the evening.
