Pérez Art Museum Miami to Honor Miami’s Corporate Leaders at Annual Luncheon Reception

Seventh Annual Corporate Luncheon Presented by South Motors to Honor J.P. Morgan for Support of Miami’s Art Community.

MIAMI – September 8, 2014 – For the first time, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will host its highly-anticipated annual Corporate Luncheon in its new, state-of-the-art facility in downtown Miami’s Museum Park. The Seventh Annual PAMM Corporate Luncheon presented by South Motors will take place on Monday, September 22, from 11am – 2pm, when the museum will open its doors to South Florida’s most influential business leaders, in honor of their vital support of the arts in South Florida. Corporate Honors will be awarded to J.P. Morgan in recognition of its impact on South Florida’s cultural community.

“Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Annual Corporate Luncheon is an opportunity to celebrate the corporations whose integral support of the arts in South Florida has made Miami an international center for modern and contemporary art, and made public and educational art programming accessible to all Miami-Dade community members,” said PAMM Director Thom Collins. “After a whirlwind year of success and growth, I am especially pleased to put the spotlight on the businesses community, as its contributions have been instrumental in bringing our distinguished building, education programs and the downtown revitalization initiative to fruition.”

The PAMM Corporate Luncheon raises funds for the museum’s education programs. PAMM is the largest provider of art education outside of Miami-Dade County Schools, reaching more than 50,000 children since opening in December 2013. Corporate support has made many of these free programs possible, which include: free family activities every second Saturday; Brick by Brick, a program for at-risk teens which takes place at community centers in underserved areas throughout Miami-Dade, and focuses on architecture, design and community planning; PAMM in the Neighborhood, a summer camp program for underserved youth; and more.

This year, the event’s traditional, seated lunch format will take the form of a lunch reception, allowing attendees to network, browse the museum and enjoy a discussion on corporate collecting. PAMM Director Thom Collins will moderate the discussion focusing on the history and significance of corporate art collecting and how corporate art collections serve as a vital method for a corporation to connect with its community, and provide access to important works of art. J.P. Morgan—which has one of the world's most established corporate art collections – will receive the Seventh Annual PAMM Corporate Honors in recognition of the company’s vital impact on arts and culture in South Florida.  JPMorgan Chase & Co. has a long legacy of supporting arts and cultural programs, and promoting education and access for the entire community. In South Florida, the firm has supported the Museum of Science, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery of Science, and Miami Art Museum and Pérez Art Museum Miami’s educational and community programs since 1999.

PAMM Corporate Luncheon sponsorships are available, ranging from $20,000 diamond sponsorships which include 20 tickets, to $2,500 silver sponsorships which include five tickets.
