Pérez Art Museum Miami Collaborates with Lotus House for Holiday Toy Drive
Toy Drive Participants Receive Free Admission to PAMM through December 18
WHAT: From December 10-18, 2016, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will partner with Lotus House for a holiday toy drive. Visitors can bring new, unwrapped toys, as well as wish list items, to donate to the families at Lotus House. All visitors who participate with receive free museum admission.
“PAMM is a place for community gathering and engagement,” said Christina Boomer Vazquez, PAMM deputy director of marketing and public engagement. “We’re happy to partner with Lotus House and spread some holiday cheer to the families they serve.”
Lotus House is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women, youth and children. They provide sanctuary, support, education, tools and resources that empower families to heal, learn, grow and blossom into who they are truly meant to be.
WHEN: December 10-18, 2016 during regular museum hours

About Lotus House
Situated in the heart of Overtown, Miami, Lotus House provides shelter, sanctuary and support to women, youth and children who are amongst the most fragile in society. Lotus House guests are homeless due to domestic violence, medical or mental health issues, disabilities, loss of employment or other economic reasons. More than a traditional shelter, Lotus House offers social and supportive services that assist women and youth in transitioning from the streets by strengthening the mind, body and spirit.
