On Saturday, April 26, the Miami-Dade Public Library System will hold its 14th Annual International Art of Storytelling Family Festival. This free event will include performances and activities for the entire family.
Kids up to 12 years old can dress up as their favorite storybook characters and march in the Story Book Character Parade, along with the Richmond Heights Middle School band. No scary costumes, please. Parade participants are invited to arrive by 10:30 am.
In the Teen Zone, teens can participate in karaoke, video gaming, an anime marathon and more.
The International Art of Storytelling (AOS) was created in 2000, to highlight the important role that storytelling plays in education, culture and entertainment. This ancient tradition carries the rich histories and values of past generations, and is as vital today as it was thousands of years ago.
