At last month’s PAMM Free Second Saturdays event, hosted by PAMM’s Teen Art Council (PTAC), thousands of guests came out for an afternoon of music, art-making, and performances. PAMM’s waterfront terrace was transformed into a massive hopscotch, inspired by Lawrence Weiner: OUT OF SIGHT, currently on view through June 25.
The O, Miami poetry bus made a stop at PAMM for the day, captained by Miami’s own Afrobeta. Participants made poems out of mad-libs, freestyled on the mic, and made poetry prints at the printing station. Afterwards, the PTAC students performed a set of poetry and live music for guests on the terrace. Make sure to join us this Saturday, May 13, for this month’s “Botanical Beauty” theme and design your very own hanging garden, just in time for Mother’s Day. In welcoming Frost Science to Museum Park, PAMM will extend its general museum hours on May 13 from 10am-10pm.
