The PAMMily is spreading some holiday cheer with the help of Florida Foster Care Review (FFCR) and Bunchy Gertner for Bunchy’s 21st Annual Holiday Toy Drive.
From December 16-18, visitors who bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to children and youth in foster care will receive free admission to the museum.
“We’re thrilled to be able to partner with Florida Foster Care Review and Bunchy for the holidays,” said PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans. “As a meeting place for our community, PAMM is happy to play a small role in the collection of gifts for our partners at Florida Foster Care Review. We’re asking our PAMMily to help us ensure that every child and teen in foster care unwraps a special gift this holiday season.”
Florida Foster Care Review (FFCR) is a non-profit organization that harnesses the power of community volunteers to advance the safety, stability, and success of foster children by connecting them to critical services, supportive adults, and forever families. FFCR’s staff and volunteers have collected toys and supported Bunchy’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive for close to a decade. Since 1997, Bunchy has provided holiday joy to thousands of foster children and youth transitioning out of the system. With the help of her volunteer “elves,” Bunchy collects, wraps, and distributes presents to nearly 3,000 children and youth in Miami-Dade and Monroe County’s foster care system every year.
“Florida Foster Care Review has been a proud partner with Bunchy’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive for many years,” said FFCR Executive Director Candice Maze. “Although she rarely meets the children who benefit from her toy drive, Bunchy gives children in foster care the most important gifts of all: respect, dignity, and unconditional love. On behalf of all of us – thank you Bunchy!”
