In celebration of PAMM’s new exhibition, The World's Game: Fútbol and Contemporary Art Poplife Social presented a live performance full of soulful rhythms and worldly beats by Elastic Bond. Members in the lounge were treated to drinks courtesy of Absolut Elyx, Heineken, and Kim Crawford, as they shopped in the Topshop & Topman pop-ups on the terrace. Guests got creative in the art-making stations, and roamed the galleries throughout the night exploring PAMM’s new exhibitions.
On April 14, 2018, guests came out to celebrate a Second Saturday that was out of this world! Inspired by artist Haroon Mirza's sensory installation exploring light and sound, guests crafted their own cosmic couture and hit the dance floor for a Galactic Get Down at PAMM’s Free Second Saturday: Art and Aliens. Afterwards, the teens from PAMM’s Teen Art Council hosted a space prom that was open to all teens, featuring live performances by local teen bands, Silent Disco DJ’s, costume competitions and more!
On April 18, 2018, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) welcomed its Benefactor-level members for an intimate dinner on the museum’s picturesque third floor terrace. Hosted by Etro, the evening began with a chic cocktail reception as the sun slowly set over downtown Miami. Guests were seated for a delicious three-course meal as PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans thanked the members for their support of the institution, the importance of arts education, and the major role PAMM plays in the community.
On April 12, 2018, guests flocked to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) to celebrate the opening of The World’s Game: Fútbol and Contemporary Art with an evening of music, dance, and performance.
In anticipation of The World’s Game: Futbol and Contemporary Art, Philippe Moggio, general secretary of Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) joined PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans in a conversation on the intersection of sports and art, highlighted our region’s new initiatives in professional soccer. Moggio, a former professional tennis player, banker, and National Basketball Association executive, represented Colombia in Davis Cup competition from 1996-1999. At CONCACAF, Moggio is ushering in new international tournaments with a fresh identity and vision for the future of soccer in our region.
