PAMM Free Community Night: College Takeover

On October 5, 2017, PAMM welcomed students from all over South Florida to our Free Community Night: College Takeover. Guests enjoyed a screening of the cult classic “National Lampoon’s Animal House” in the auditorium, while WVUM and Sktchy entertained the crowd on the terrace. Miami Dade College, University of Miami and Florida International University held info booths inside the museum, while UM’s Sebastian the Ibis and MDC’s Finn the Shark toured the museum, learned a bit about art and joined in on the fun, collegiate festivities outside.

PAMM Collection Artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby Wins a 2017 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship

PAMM collection artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby has been awarded a 2017 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship. The MacArthur Foundation awards unrestricted fellowships to talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction. Pérez Art Museum Miami Honors Publix Super Markets Charities at Tenth Annual Corporate Luncheon

On September 27, 2017, at the Tenth Annual Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Corporate Luncheon, presented by STARR Catering Group, South Florida’s business community gathered to honor Publix Super Markets Charities with PAMM Corporate Honors. For nearly 20 years, Publix Super Markets Charities’ financial involvement and partnership with the museum has helped to fund special exhibitions and educational programming for PAMM’s visitors.

PAMM Collecting Items for Those Affected by Hurricanes in the Caribbean

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), working in partnership with Third Horizon Caribbean Film Festival, is teaming up with the The Miami Foundation to collect much needed supplies for their U.S. Caribbean Strong Relief Fund. The intention is to raise awareness of Irma and Maria's devastating effects across the Caribbean and U.S., and the urgent need for basic necessities. Bring in items to PAMM through October 15, 2017 and receive free admission during regular museum hours.

  • Non-perishable food supplies
  • Tarps
  • Toiletries
  • First aid kits
  • Over-the-Counter Medicine such as aspirin, Pepto-Bismol, etc.
  • Batteries/flashlights/solar lanterns
  • HAM Radios
  • Insect repellant
  • Sleeping bags, blankets pillows, mats
  • Baby wipes/Foods/diapers
