Celebrating the exhibition Bloodlines, authors Roxane Gay and Jeff Chang read recent essays and discussed ideas of race, gender and social histories that influenced the work of Firelei Báez. Both Gay and Chang have written extensively on American culture, politics and the arts.

On January 14, 2016, Pérez Art Museum Miami welcomed Ambassadors for African American Art to a private reception and tour of Project Gallery: Romare Bearden on the night of the exhibition’s opening.
On December 10, 2015, guests joined us for an engaging evening of presentations with Everglades National Park Superintendent Pedro Ramos, Audubon Director Eric Draper and artist Susan Silas, moderated by Deborah Mitchell.
PAMM’s street team had a booth at the 2016 Art Deco Weekend Festival “The Art of Architecture” in Miami Beach this past Saturday. A PAMM Teaching Artist joined in the fun to host free family art-making where parents and children designed their own Miami building inspired by PAMM’s architecture. Big thanks to PAMM’s education team and all who participated.
