John Varvatos Dinner at PAMM

On October 19, 2017, an intimate group of guests enjoyed a starlit, private dinner hosted by designer John Varvatos on Pérez Art Museum Miami’s breath-taking third floor terraces. The dinner was held in recognition of PAMM’s exhibition Haroon Mirza: A C I D G E S T, a commissioned work that brings together audiovisual materials, electronic equipment, amplifiers, and found objects to create immersive environments and kinetic sculptures. The exhibition has been generously underwritten by John Varvatos and his company.

PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social ft. The Love Below DJs

On October 19, 2017, The Love Below DJs took over PAMM’s Third Thursday: Poplife Social. The DJs kept the perfect mood all night as they played a range of tunes on the R&B spectrum. Between the DJ sets, Telescope Thieves performed a live set on the terrace that had the crowd dancing. Guests joined in on art-making and got crafty with Fordistas, who held a print screening activation on PAMM’s beach.

PAMM Free Second Saturdays: Extraordinary Texture

PAMM welcomed hundreds of guests on October 14, 2017 for “Free Second Saturdays: Extraordinary Texture.” The event celebrated DWNTWN Art Days, and was jam-packed with activations around the museum. The day also marked the debut of PAMM’s “Miami Stories,” a partnership between the museum, HistoryMiami Museum and WLRN.

PAMM Free Community Night: College Takeover

On October 5, 2017, PAMM welcomed students from all over South Florida to our Free Community Night: College Takeover. Guests enjoyed a screening of the cult classic “National Lampoon’s Animal House” in the auditorium, while WVUM and Sktchy entertained the crowd on the terrace. Miami Dade College, University of Miami and Florida International University held info booths inside the museum, while UM’s Sebastian the Ibis and MDC’s Finn the Shark toured the museum, learned a bit about art and joined in on the fun, collegiate festivities outside.
