On Thursday, April 16, 2015, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) continued its new partnership with Poplife, masterminds behind Miami’s famously sought-after and sold-out independent acts, to host PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social, which will be held every third Thursday of the month through September.
In the third Scholl Lecture Series, art critic and poet Barry Schwabsky spoke about ideas relevant to painting today with specific examples from Victoria Gitman: Desiring Eye, on view at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) until May 31, 2015.
Artist Nicole Cherubini, whose sculptures were on view at PAMM, spoke about the works of the revolutionary ceramicist George Ohr and his artistic process, including his inventive experimentation with clay.
Emily Mello, Pérez Art Museum Miami's Deputy Director for Education and Public Programs will lecture on the topic "Performance Art and New Media" as part of the new Locust Salon Scholars initiative at Locust Projects in the Design District.
