PAMM hosted a Fourth of July celebration exclusively for its members. Guests enjoyed live music and food, and were able to walk the galleries that remained open late for the occasion. As evening approached, guests enjoyed the amazing view from the terrace of the nearby firework displays that took place over Biscayne Bay.
Distinguished Columbia University Professor Robert O’Meally discussed the work of Romare Bearden and his series of photostat projections which were produced in 1964 and were on view at PAMM. O’Meally has written extensively on Bearden and organized the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey, which toured the country through early 2015.

On Thursday June 9th, visitors gathered at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) to celebrate the late Prince’s birthday at the Purple Party. Guests came out in their best purple outfits and danced as DJ Mike Deuce and DJ Lolo played the singer’s greatest hits. Guests were treated to pins and temporary tattoos of Prince, while enjoying drinks inspired by the Purple One on the terrace.
On June 2, 2016, Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) Core Creative members were invited to the South Beach home of David and Isabela Grutman. The intimate group enjoyed specialty cocktails and mingled amidst the Grutman’s collection of diverse contemporary art, including works by artists Andy Warhol, Peter Tunney, Augusto Esquivel and Dante Dentoni.
