On March 8, 2017, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) welcomed Benefactor and above-level donors to the Fifth Annual PAMM Benefactor Recognition Dinner, hosted by East, Miami and Swire Hotels at the rustic-chic Quinto La Huella. Melissa Cowley Wolf, PAMM deputy director of development, and Amanda Harris, East Miami, director of communications, welcomed the group against a backdrop of spectacular city views. PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans was honored to recognize some of the museum’s most generous supporters for their continued generosity and leadership. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and specialty cocktails under the stars, followed by a candlelit three-course dinner.
Art Detectives is a new arts education program that promotes critical and timely dialogue between community youth and police. Through this innovative program, PAMM teaching artists, members of The Links, Inc., Greater Miami (FL) Chapter, Miami-Dade County Police, students and Americorps volunteers from Breakthrough Miami, work together to build relationships using art as a catalyst.

On Thursday, March 2nd Valentino hosted a private shopping event to kick-off Pérez Art Museum Miami’s 2017, Art of the Party gala alongside members of PAMM’s Art of the Party leadership – Arlene Chaplin, Darlene Pérez and Alexa Wolman. Valentino opened the doors of its Bal Harbour location for an exclusive night of luxe fashion and art. The store’s dazzling, ethereal atmosphere created the perfect ambiance for the night’s blend of arts and culture. A percentage of proceeds from both Valentino Miami Design District and Valentino Bal Harbour locations will be donated to Pérez Art Museum Miami.
