Dr. Elizabeth Povinelli, the Franz Boas Professor of Anthropology at Columbia University, led a workshop at PAMM together with artist Marjetica Potrč. Povinelli is a founding member of the Karrabing social project, which rejects state forms of land tenure and group identification—namely the anthropological imaginary of the prehistoric clan, totem, and territory.
On Friday, July 24, 2015, Museum Circle members, and their families, participated in an afternoon of family-style yoga inside one of PAMM’s galleries overlooking Biscayne Bay. After yoga, the fun continued on the museum’s terrace with an ice cream bar, pampering and art-making.
Opening in October, PAMM will debut new work from the noted photographer.
