Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) welcomed more than 750 visitors for the opening of On the Horizon: Contemporary Cuban Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, an exhibition showcasing a selection of works by Contemporary Cuban artists donated to the museum by philanthropist and renown collector Jorge M. Pérez—the majority from a recent gift of over 170 pieces, as well as works previously gifted to PAMM in 2012, and several recent acquisitions purchased with funds generously provided by Pérez.
This Summer's PAMM Inside|Out program is hitting the beach! There will be 15 new works installed on the beaches in Surfside, FL.
On May 4, 2017, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and Susan G. Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale kicked off the 22nd Annual Race for the Cure® as part of PAMM’s Free Community Night. Guests enjoyed pink rum cocktails on the terrace and live music courtesy of the PUMPS DJ Crew.
Today, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) welcomed its one-millionth visitor since opening in its Herzog & de Meuron-designed building on December 2013. As Miami’s flagship museum, PAMM serves a multicultural population in one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The museum’s diverse programming and special exhibitions have helped to draw visitors to Miami from across the globe.
On April 27, 2017, Florida Grand Opera (FGO) held a special performance at PAMM in honor of Lawrence Weiner: OUT OF SIGHT. FGO brought the piece to life by including phrases from the work into seven reworked opera classics.
