On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Pérez Art Museum Miami kicked off its celebration for the opening of Ulla von Brandenburg: It Has a Golden Sun and an Elderly Grey Moon with a private dinner in honor of the artist Soho Beach House hosted by Chloé. Guests enjoyed a reception with delectable hors d'oeuvres and specialty cocktails, followed by an intimate dinner in the rooftop penthouse under the stars.
Receive free admission on Election Day, November 8, when you visit PAMM with your “I voted” sticker. Verde, the museum’s waterfront restaurant, will also provide a free 10 oz cup of coffee to visitors who present their “I voted” sticker. In the spirit of democracy, guests can explore the galleries and enjoy works by Vik Muniz and Tomás Esson, who make use of American flag imagery in their artworks.
On Thursday, October 20, 2016, guests came out to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) to enjoy the monthly Third Thursday: Poplife Social. Guests enjoyed a performance by LOBOTOMAXXX that featured Ron Littles’ freestyle oratory delivery backed by heavy electronic boom-bap back tracks and a pair of hype-men wearing elaborate super hero costumes. PAMM members joined in the Third Thursday Lounge for complimentary drinks provided by Beck’s Urban Canvas. Guests also enjoyed happy hour drink specials and participated in art-making on the terrace.
On Saturday, October 29, 2016, Pérez Art Museum Miami Museum Circle members enjoyed an ARTrek through Little River. Members began their morning with a visit to the studio of artist Aramis Gutierrez, followed by a visit to IRL Institute, where they were treated to a tour of the space with artists and owners Sergio Vega, Eddie Negro and Marla Rosen. The ARTrek concluded at Mindy Solomon Gallery, where the Korean ceramics currently on view proved to be a favorite of the guests.
