Lorna Simpson is an acclaimed conceptual photographer and painter, and one of the leading female artists working today. Her work has been vitally important to the evolution of PAMM for the last twenty years. In 1997, felt works by the artist were exhibited at the museum, and in 2006, a survey exhibition of Simpson's work traveled to the institution. Her seminal work Still (1997) was included in AMERICANA, PAMM’s inaugural exhibition series in its new building. Simpson’s work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Brooklyn Museum, New York; Haus der Kunst, Munich; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, among others.
Lee Brian Schrager, who has collaborated with PAMM on this unique event for the past two years, serves as senior vice president, communications & corporate social responsibility for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and is widely recognized for his role as founder & director of the popular Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals.
