Enjoy artist Carrie Schneider’s (b. 1979 Chicago; based Brooklyn) film Reading Women throughout the day in the PAMM Auditorium. To make Reading Women (2012–2014), Schneider photographed and filmed 100 friends – many of them other artists, writers and musicians – while each read a book of her choice, written by a woman author, in her own home or studio. The four-hour film will loop twice, and is presented in partnership with Unscripted Bal Harbour.
Reading Women is on view on Bal Harbour's beach walk at 99th street and 102nd street through February 28, 2018, and is presented in collaboration with University Galleries of Illinois State University and The Miami Book Fair.
