Calendar: Peace Paper Workshop for Veterans

Event Description

Get inspired by the artwork of Meiro Koizumi and share stories of honor or service. During this free veteran workshop, use traditional papermaking techniques to transform unserviceable military uniforms into handmade paper. Like the material of each uniform, this process means something unique to each veteran participant.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Free for Veterans. Complimentary parking is included.

Since 2011, Veteran Peace Paper Project has operated internationally in universities, foundations, hospitals, art centers, shelters, and community centers in order to deliver a creative skill-set with the potential for enriching veteran's experiences of living their lives outside of the military.
