With the generous support of the Knight Foundation, Pérez Art Museum Miami fosters innovation in arts education for public schools through free museum visits, educator workshops and web resources.
Knight Schools Program
The Knight Schools Program offers free buses and free museum admission to Miami-Dade County Public Schools. All schools receive a museum experience led by a PAMM Teaching Artist, and participate in lively discussion about modern and contemporary art. Museum experiences are offered Monday through Friday, and encourage skills of the Common Core State Standards. To request a tour, contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send your name, school, grade and possible date for your visit. Tours are scheduled on a first come first serve basis.
Admission fees are waived for all self-guided school groups to the museum. All self-guided groups must schedule their visit with the education department at email@example.com to receive this benefit. One chaperone is required for every 10 students. Please review important information about the museum and share these points with your students.
Pérez Art Museum Miami, with the generous support of the Knight Foundation, offers classroom educators workshops that provoke critical engagement with modern and contemporary art. Workshops are offered throughout the school year and include art-making, discussion with colleagues and experiences with working artists. M-DCPS teachers are eligible to receive Master Plan Points.
Teachers can request up to 40 free admission passes each semester to for their students. Passes include free admission for two adults. If you would like to request passes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
