PAMM educator workshops occur throughout the academic year, and teach strategies for integrating art in your classroom. Participate in dynamic discussions about contemporary art and hands-on art-making. No prior art experience is necessary. All materials are provided. Each teacher receives a flash drive with Heckscher Digital Education resources for classroom use.
Miami-Dade County Public School educators should register through the M-DCPS portal, and are eligible to receive Master Plan Points.
Join PAMM staff for workshops especially designed for K-12 Educators. Together, we will explore ways to connect classroom curriculum with the art and artists of our time. These workshops include art-making, gallery discussions, and opportunities to share classroom strategies with colleagues. All materials are provided. M-DCPS educators receive 7 M-DCPS credits. Interdisciplinary Investigations I: Math and Contemporary Art
In this hands-on, interactive workshop K-12 educators will engage in critical explorations of how contemporary artists utilize and find inspiration in concepts typically identified within the practice of mathematics. This workshop is for educators working with students across various subject areas and grade levels. This workshop will place an emphasis on the connections that may be made when art is used as the starting point for interdisciplinary study. Led by PAMM Teaching Artists, educators will collaboratively explore the intersection of math and art with the goal of encouraging critical thinking within their classrooms.

Interdisciplinary Investigations II: Science and Contemporary Art
In this hands-on, interactive workshop K-12 educators will participate in inquiry-based discussions and contemporary art inspired activities that encompass the fields of science and visual art. The intersections and parallels between science and art-making will be explored as method of process and creative experimentations that may be applied within the classroom across subject areas and grade levels supporting the student as a holistic learner.

Interdisciplinary Investigations III: Digital Citizenship and Teen Voice
In this unique workshop teens and educators will come together to lead and learn from one another in hands-on activities and discussions around relevant topics relating to Digital Citizenship. Utilizing contemporary art as a starting point, teens will provide the catalyst for topics relevant to youth as active learners both inside and outside the classroom. Educators will learn how to actively engage their middle and high school students in a variety of subject areas by supporting interdisciplinary connections and applied critical thinking.
