In January of 2008, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) piloted a new monthly after school program with the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education.
The program has since expanded to weekly visits, serving all 3-5 year olds. Pre-school students enjoy an art-related book reading followed by a hands-on activity. Sessions begin and end in song and the books are donated to the Center library. This playful program emphasizes literacy foundations and basic elements of art and will be expanded to serve new audiences in PAMM’s studio classrooms and galleries.
