With over 15 years of experience in human resources, Maira Severo has built her career at some of the largest organizations in South Florida. Severo’s expertise includes talent acquisition, compensation, total rewards, performance management, and employee relations. As director of human resources at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Severo uses her understanding of human behavior to navigate and build trusting relationships with employees and leadership. She is a service-oriented leader who is a practical problem solver and an effective partner at all organizational level.

Before PAMM, Severo spent over seven years at the University of Miami in various human resources roles. Severo began her career in HR at Baptist Health of South Florida in talent acquisition. Severo has a multicultural background. She was born and raised in Brazil and speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
