About Jason Matthews
Jason Matthews is a Miami-based keyboardist, composer, and producer who was born and raised in Philadelphia. Matthews graduated from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and studied music education and jazz performance. He began his career writing and producing music for his own jazz collectives, eventually shelling out into his current projects Electric Kif & TWYN. Since 2014, Matthews has toured internationally as a sideman with songstress Danay Suarez, Blues phenom Matt Schofield, Latin arranger Tony Succar, and sacred steel artist Roosevelt Collier. He has performed as a Moog soloist with the New World Symphony, Asheville Symphony, and Amarillo Symphony. He has toured around the world, performing at prestigious music festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Summer Stage NYC, and TED Global: Rio De Janeiro.
