Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is pleased to announce the 16th edition of PAMM in the Neighborhood, the museum’s summer program that offers youth camps and community centers free art experiences at the museum and throughout Miami-Dade County. PAMM in the Neighborhood is one of the many programs that make up the museum’s robust art education program, the largest of its kind outside the Miami-Dade County public school system.
This year’s theme, “Frame of Mind”, explores the theme of framing objects and things both figuratively and literally. Participants will be given the opportunity to design their own frames, reflect on the various ways that frames affect an object or a person, and “install” their finished pieces of art as a group.
The two-part program includes artist-led conversations and art-making at local facilities, along with artist-led tours at PAMM. PAMM in the Neighborhood draws nearly 8,000 each summer.
PAMM in the Neighborhood is free of charge and all materials are provided.
PAMM in the Neighborhood is made possible by a generous grant from the Miami Foundation and the Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation.
