Join us for an afternoon of sound reflecting on artist Gary Simmons’s sculptural installation, Recapturing Memories of the Black Ark . Participate in Suzi Analogue’s “Spirit of Synthesis” workshop and live set that will guide us on a journey of her use of synthesizers and amplifying sound. She will take us through her spiritual view and methods of electronic music creation by way of Gary Simmon’s Black Ark installation.

Suzi Analogue is a prolific producer, songwriter, composer, member Of The Recording Academy /Grammy’s, music professor at UNC, and creator of Never Normal Records based in Miami, FL. She energetically pioneers the new wave of women producers in electronic music and beyond. Gaining worldwide recognition for her own diverse electronic productions, her music has found homes on Billboard charts, New York Fashion Week runways, Networks like Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Boiler Room, and worldwide radio including BBC. Recently, her original productions can be heard in commercials featuring Burna Boy, BLACKPINK and Solange in collaboration with Calvin Klein & Grammy-Award Winning film director Melina Matsoukas. She’s also a Google x Raedio creator, composing music for Issa Rae’s RAEDIO platform.
