In honor of PAMM’s new exhibition Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks, please join us for a special screening of the breakthrough film “Basquiat” (1996) directed by Julian Schnabel. The film is based on the true story of the iconic graffiti artist turned painter, Jean-Michel Basquiat (played by Jeffrey Wright), and his rise to fame after being discovered by Andy Warhol (played by Davie Bowie).

Members and pre-purchase ticket holders will receive priority seating up to 15 minutes prior to the start of the film. At 6:45pm, the auditorium will open to the public for general seating at a first come, first seated basis. Arrival after 6:45pm will not guarantee a seat.

Organization and Support
Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks is organized by the Brooklyn Museum and is curated by Dieter Buchhart, guest curator, with Tricia Laughlin Bloom, former Associate Curator of Exhibitions, Brooklyn Museum. The presentation of this exhibition at Pérez Art Museum Miami has been organized by Assistant Curator María Elena Ortiz. It has been made possible by the Italian Trade Agency and Salone del Mobile Milano with additional support from Facebook.
