Join us for our Scholl lecture series, featuring the premier cultural creatives of our time, with a conversation with multidisciplinary artist, musician, filmmaker, and producer Lee Jaffe. In dialogue with Franklin Sirmans, Sandra and Tony Tamer director at PAMM, Jaffe will reflect on his remarkable career working alongside some of the most iconic figures in art and music. His unique perspective and storied history will highlight themes of cross-cultural collaboration and his distinct artistic journey.

As part of PAMM’s commitment to accessibility live translation for this program will be available in Amercian Sign Language, Spanish and Haitian Creole. The program will also be streamed live, online via PAMM’s Youtube Channel.
About Lee Jaffe
Lee Jaffe is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been shown in leading institutions such as Moderna Museet (Stockholm), the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and Ikon Gallery (United Kingdom). Over the past decade, his collaborations with Jean-Michel Basquiat have been featured in major exhibitions at PAMM, The Brooklyn Museum, Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris), “Basquiat: King Pleasure” (New York and Los Angeles), and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
Jaffe was also a member of Bob Marley and The Wailers and went on to produce albums with influential Jamaican musicians including Peter Tosh, Joe Higgs, Wailing Souls, Barrington Levy, and Morgan Heritage. His books, “Crossroads: Jean-Michel Basquiat/Lee Jaffe” (2022) and “Hit Me With Music” (2024), are co-published by Rizzoli International and Mandela Media.
Jaffe’s work is held in permanent collections at The Museum of Modern Art (New York), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Moderna Museet (Stockholm), Tate Gallery (London), the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and others.
