(MIAMI, FL — December 8, 2025) — Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) celebrated Miami Art Week 2025 with an exciting lineup of events and exhibitions, with highlights including PAMM Presents, the museum’s signature Art Week party, as well as their annual donor dinner, and an art talk with Jorge M. Pérez, Franklin Sirmans, Aldeide Delgado, and Anastasia Samoylova. Additionally, the museum debuted ECOLOGIES, a series of public programming, performances, and private convenings developed in partnership between the Knight Foundation, New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), CULTURED, Cultural Counsel, and the museum. PAMM also announced new acquisitions from NADA Miami and SCOPE Art Fair for its permanent collection, as well as a significant gift from the Green Family Foundation (GFF) to benefit the Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI).

On Tuesday, December 2, PAMM Board of Trustees President Karen H. Bechtel and Sandra and Tony Tamer Director Franklin Sirmans invited supporters to the museum’s annual Miami Art Week Donor Recognition Dinner. At the dinner, PAMM announced a $5 million gift from GFF to benefit CCI—the museum’s curatorial and research platform that promotes the art of the Caribbean and its diasporas—renaming it the Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a three-course meal on the museum’s private third-floor terraces overlooking the Miami skyline. The evening was made possible in part by supporting sponsors Jessica Silverman and KARMA.
Notable guests included: Karen H. Bechtel, Mireille Chancy, Basil Chidi Funk, Dorothea and Steven Green, Dr. Kimberly Green, Elliot Jiménez, Erick Jiménez, Patricia M. Kleh, Kristina Newman-Scott, Woody De Othello, Darlene and Jorge Pérez, Dorothy and Aaron Podhurst, Jessica Silverman, and Anthony Spinello.

On Thursday, December 4, the museum hosted PAMM Presents, its annual Art Week party, bringing together nearly 5,000 guests from the worlds of art, fashion, business, and philanthropy, including PAMM members and donors. This year’s edition was curated by Rohan Marley and reggae legends Inner Circle under the title “Art Bashment.” The high-energy waterfront party infused the museum, its terraces, and its galleries with the sounds and spirit of the Caribbean, featuring an opening set by Silent Addy and performances by Ky-mani Marley, Zion Marley, Jason Panton Dubwise® Miami, Jesse Royal, and Naomi Cowan, and more. Supporting Sponsors LaCroix Sparkling Water and Art Miami + CONTEXT Miami.
Throughout the evening, guests had the chance to view Woody De Othello: coming forth by day, the Miami-born artist’s first solo museum exhibition in his hometown, as well as Elliot & Erick Jiménez: El Monte, and Language and Image: Conceptual and Performance-Based Photography from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection presented by Citi, among others.



Additional Miami Art Week 2025 programming highlights included a dynamic conversation on art, legacy, and community between Jorge M. Pérez, Franklin Sirmans, Aldeide Delgado, and Anastasia Samoylova. Further panel discussions and talks were held at NADA Miami via ECOLOGIES, including a kick-off conversation on Tuesday, December 2, between Sirmans, Executive Director of NADA Heather Hubbs, Knight Foundation Vice President of Arts Kristina Newman-Scott, and CULTURED Editor at Large Julia Halperin.

Pérez Art Museum Miami also acquired works for its permanent collection from NADA Miami, via the NADA Acquisition Gift for PAMM. This year marked a significant milestone, as ECOLOGIES—the programming partnership between the Knight Foundation, NADA, PAMM, and CULTURED—doubled funding for the initiative, allowing PAMM curators to acquire three works for the permanent collection. PAMM Curator Jennifer Inacio, Associate Curator Maritza M. Lacayo, and Curatorial Assistant Fabiana Sotillo selected: Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe’s Hishima (Pumpkin), 2021 from ABRA Gallery; Thomas Bils’ Phone Wallet Keys (2025) from Baker—Hall; and Pallavi Sen’s Manokamana Kala Kendra (2021) from Twelve Gates Arts.
In addition to the acquisition from NADA Miami, PAMM Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs & Chief Curator José Carlos Diaz selected two works by Daniel Ochoa from Miami-based gallery Quiet Hours through the SCOPE Art Show PAMM Prize: Inside Your Body, There is a Light That Never Goes Out (2025) and Biophoton (2025).

This Art Talk featured an inspiring conversation between philanthropist Jorge M. Pérez, Franklin Sirmans, Sandra and Tony Tamer Director at PAMM, Aldeide Delgado, founder of the Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA), and artist Anastasia Samoylova on art, legacy, and community, and PAMM’s ongoing commitment to artists and cultural workers across the Americas.
ECOLOGIES | Ecologies Fireside

Ecologies Fireside brought together leaders of today’s leading cultural organizations as they discussed the reasons behind this alliance, and the systems necessary to support cultural communities like Miami, featuring Heather Hubbs, Executive Director of NADA, Kristina Newman-Scott, Vice President of Arts, at the Knight Foundation, Franklin Sirmans, Sandra and Tony Tamer Director at PAMM, and moderated by Julia Halperin, Editor at Large at CULTURED.

The Technological View brought together artist Marco Brambilla, Jazia Hammoudi, Program Director of Onassis ONX, and Marcella Zimmermann, CEO of Digital Counsel, moderated by Lauren Monzón, Program Manager of New Media at PAMM to discuss: how can contemporary art thrive in an environment defined by technologies seemingly designed to surpass our subjectivities?
ECOLOGIES | In the Know: Woody De Othello

On the occasion of coming forth by day, Woody De Othello’s exhibition at PAMM, the Miami-born artist joined PAMM Curator Jennifer Inacio in conversation, moderated by Cultural Counsel President Adam Abdalla.

ECOLOGIES | Making Meaning: Art and Education

As art museums, foundations, and institutions meet a new moment, what is the role of education in creating communities and facilitating change? This was the question addressed by Dejha Carrington, founder of Commissioner, Dr. Joan Morgan, Program Director of the Center for Black Visual Culture at New York University, Marie Vickles, Senior Director of Education at PAMM, moderated by Kristina Newman-Scott, Vice President of Arts at the Knight Foundation.
PAMM Presents: Art Bashment
8–11pm, PAMM
Assembled by Jamaican-born and Miami-raised entrepreneur Rohan Marley and the legendary band Inner Circle, PAMM Presents: Art Bashment brought together an all-star line-up of unforgettable performances to PAMM’s iconic waterfront terrace. Lively sets by viral sensation Silent Addy, reggae royalty Ky-mani Marley and Zion Marley, and special performers Naomi Cowan, Jesse Royal, Jason Panton Dubwise® Miami invited guests to do their best dutty wine and sip on libations during Miami Art Week.
PAMM Presents drew in nearly 5,000 visitors for one night only, bringing together guests from the worlds of art, music, fashion, business, and philanthropy to celebrate PAMM as a collecting institution at the crossroads of the Americas. The evening’s festivities highlighted the museum’s mission to represent and cherish the unique diversity of Miami-Dade and foster genuine human connection, communication, and exchange through art.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5
ECOLOGIES | Caribbean Ecologies: A Cultural Looking Glass

A nexus of water, land, and post-colonial culture, the Caribbean holds clues to the future of artistic communities across the world. Local philanthropist Dr. Kimberly Green, President of GFF was joined by artist Diana Eusebio and Iberia Pérez González, the Andrew W. Mellon Caribbean Cultural Institute Curatorial Associate at PAMM to discuss what a regional lens means for Miami, and beyond.
