Discover the hidden colors hiding in plain sight! Join artists Debora Rosental and Aida Tejada for an immersive, hands-on workshop exploring South Florida’s native flora through the art of natural dyeing.

Explore color, plants, and natural dye techniques in a brand-new creation. Learn to transform local plants into vibrant, eco-friendly dyes and paints, then put your skills to work in two inspired activities:
Tote Bag Painting
Inspired by Sam Gilliam’s Blue and Flame, create and personalize your own tote bag using paints made from South Florida native plants. Experiment with color, abstraction, and material in a piece that’s uniquely yours.
Sculptural Forms
Inspired by Sonia Gomes’ Untitled, sculpt with cheesecloth dyed in native plant pigments, combined with wire and cushion filler. Explore texture, structure, and organic form in this tactile, expressive activity.
Using stencil and resist techniques, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind textile that reflects both place and process.
After the workshop, enjoy a special book signing for “South Florida Color Palette: Native Plants and Natural Dyes,” avilable at PAMM Shop.
