Join us for a vibrant, free celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! From 11am to 3pm, enjoy a variety of art-making activities, music, and performances throughout the museum.

The waterfront terrace comes alive with a hands-on, kid-friendly art making related to the exhibition This Is America: Selections from PAMM’s Collection. Create art inspired by the artwork of Peruvian American artist Gonzalo Hernandez, whose textile-based artworks Relax Gringo, I’m Here Legally! and This Is Not America’s Flag (After Alfredo Jaar) are on view as part of This is America.

Inside the galleries, participate in an interactive workshop with Colombian American, Miami-based artist Gabriela Serra, whose work focuses on the exploration of naturally derived pigments, and community building through appreciation of the natural world.

Throughout the day, gather together by the water for Auto-Mariachi—a joyful, high-energy live performance conceived by Mexican American artist Oscar Rieveling that celebrates love, connection, and the tradition of mariachi music.

Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs.
