Parodi Lecture in Philosophy of Art: "The Distracted Exhibition. On Enchantment and Composting Archival Shreds." by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev

This lecture by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev explores the question of the art exhibition as an embodied and "dis-tracted" archive(dis / trahere = to pull or to draw in another direction), and it focuses on how objects function in relation to the experience of witnessing – the artist’s witnessing of the world, the viewer’s witnessing of the artwork, and even the art object’s witnessing of the spectacle within which it is caught and entrapped.
