On January 11, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz: A Universe of Fragile Mirrors—an exhibition that originated at PAMM—opened at El Museo Del Barrio in New York. At El Museo, viewers will see the same selection of works presented at PAMM but in a different context, alongside with a new exhibition curated by the artist Beatriz Santiago Muñoz. A glyph, a tool, an icon: Beatriz Santiago Muñoz selects from El Museo’s Collection includes a series of works from the museum’s collection in relationship to A Universe of Fragile Mirrors. Together, both exhibitions continue with the curatorial project that started in Miami, while providing New York’s museum audiences an opportunity to discover artist’s practice in connection to the collecting history of El Museo.
