Join us for a moving live art experience with Miami DanceMakers (MDM)—an artist driven, community infused, fresh move maker project launched in 2021 by Miami-based and nationally recognized Artistic Director Adele Myers and Dancers in partnership with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and MDM Creative Development Partners.
At PAMM, wander in wonder throughout the museum as you enjoy MDM artists’ performances of newly created dance works inspired by artworks on view.
MDM artists are recent college graduates and promising dance artists eager to become Miami's next generation of creative visionaries. The project was founded by Miami-based and nationally acclaimed Artistic Director Adele Myers and dancers who recognized the caliber of Miami's pre-professional dance artists and their need for a local network to help them thrive after graduation.
For six months, five selected MDM artists are paired with local creative development partners throughout Miami that offer in-kind rehearsal space and co-host monthly showings for local audiences. In exchange, MDM artists volunteer to support their partners behind the scenes providing MDM artists with personal access to a professional network.
