Book Signing: “A Brief History of Black British Art” with Rianna Jade Parker

February 5, 2026
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
At PAMM

Kick off a night celebrating British-Caribbean art with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Caribbean Cultural Institute fellow and author Rianna Jade Parker.

Meet the author as she signs copies of her book, “A Brief History of Black British Art,” that has been described by the Nakan Journal of Cultural Studies as “an essential read for anyone interested in the contributions of Black artists to the British art scene.”

Following the book signing, join us at 7pm for a special art talk featuring British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové. Presented through PAMM’s Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI), the program explores Caribbean art, culture, and community as part of the Scholl Lecture Series.

Wrap up the evening exploring new exhibitions and permanent collection galleries until 9pm and dance to island-inspired sounds courtesy of Pressure Point until 10pm on our waterfront terrace.
