Museum circle members are invited to a reception and conversation with best-selling author Susana Martínez Vidal, whose book “Frida Kahlo: Fashion as the Art of Being,” was recently published by Assouline.

Vidal will give a presentation prior to the conversation titled “Frida, The Great Visionary: Why is she more alive today than before she died? 20 Fashion (and life) Lessons that Mrs. Kahlo left Us.” Her gorgeously illustrated book focuses on the unparalleled influence of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, and how her unique style continues to inspire the worlds of fashion, media and art in contemporary culture.
