His practice investigates from an interdisciplinary approach, weaving histories and natural philosophy with cultural studies. He is as interested in politics as he is in poetics and perception, which he uses to understand and confront living through the anthropogenic era. ln 2019, he participated in the Inaugural Commuter Biennial in Miami, inserting editions of handmade prints on public buses throughout the county. Wheeler Castillo collaboratively produces work through experimentation and partnerships, including being one-half of Archival Feedback (along with Emile Milgrim), engaging in various critical dialogues of the moment, approaching the environment as a studio in the field, and producing sound works for a wide variety of mediums. He is also an educator, working with various institutions throughout the region including Pérez Art Museum Miami, 0, Miami Poetry Festival, HistoryMiami, A.l.R.l.E., the Rubell Museum, and the Miami Design District.
