Join us for the launch of our new tour program, Local Views at PAMM, where a select group of local artists will speak about 3-5 works of art currently on view at the museum. This casual 30-minute conversation is offered on the fourth Thursday of each month. This month, artist Juana Valdes will lead the tour.

Unlike our traditional academic discussions, Local Views at PAMM seeks to allow for visitors to gain a first-hand interaction with local artists by creating conversations centered around art and the creative process.

Juana Valdes completed her M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 1993, her B.F.A. in Sculpture at Parsons School of Design in 1991 and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 1995. She was born in Cabañas, Pinar Del Rio, Cuba and came to the United States in 1971. Juana currently teaches as an Assistant Professor of Printmaking in the Art Department at the University of Massachusetts.
