Join us for our in-gallery tour program, Local Views at PAMM, where select local artists will speak about a few works of art currently on view at the museum. This month, Laura Marsh will lead the tour.

Local Views at PAMM gives visitors a first-hand interaction with local artists by creating conversations centered around art and the creative process.

This casual 30-minute conversation takes place on the last Thursday of each month but will take place on the second-to-last Thursday this month exceptionally.

About Laura Marsh

Laura Marsh is a textile artist with a socially engaged practice. Her banners, weavings, and installations contain feminist and political quotes, mottos, and emblems that reflect cultural values and belief structures. From two generations of women who sew, Marsh practices an accessible and hands-on tactile approach. She invites viewers to enter, touch, and be immersed in her work. Originally from rural, Montrose, Pennsylvania, Marsh has watched her hometown transform into a fracking region. Marsh received her MFA from Yale University School of Art and a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Marsh has exhibited nationally at venues including Locust Projects in Miami, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Printed Matter, Field Projects, Newman Popiashvili Gallery, and Tilton Gallery in NY. She has attended several residencies including the Siena Art Institute in Italy. Marsh is the Director of Programming at Oolite Arts in Miami Beach.
