Join us for a playful morning of stories and art making inspired by The Quadrant, a colorful, swirling artwork by artist Frank Stella.

PAMM Art Storytime

Building on the foundations of literacy, pre-K students and their caregivers enjoy a short museum tour then explore how shapes, colors, and lines can dance across space, just like in Stella’s vibrant sculpture. Then, visitors will listen to a reading of “Lines That Wiggle” by Candace Whitman. After the reading, participate in a hands-on art activity inspired by the shapes, lines, and colors found in the story and in the artwork. Using simple materials like paper, crayons, and pipe cleaners, create your own bold zig-zags, curvy lines, and colorful compositions.

Support
PAMM Art Storytime is made possible by support from The Israel, Rose, Henry & Robert Wiener Charitable Foundation, The Edward C. Fogg, III and Lisbeth A. Fogg Charitable Trust, and by endowed funds granted by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children to underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs. Together with leadership support from Miami-Dade County, these funders enable the museum to transform the lives of young people in our community through our art education programs.
