Past Event

Honor the legacy, creativity, and resilience of Black artists with a day of art, culture and community. This free, family-friendly event features performances and workshops by Path-to Hip Hop, as well as art-making inspired by the work of Black visual artists. Enjoy guided tours spotlighting African American contributions to contemporary art, and a special focus on photography from the museum’s new exhibition, Language and Image. Discover the impactful work of Gordon Parks, Kwame Brathwaite, and Samuel Fosso as we reflect on the power of image-making in the fight for freedom and justice.

Organization and Support
PAMM Free Second Saturdays are made possible by presenting sponsorship support from Publix Super Market Charities, The Edward C. Fogg, III and Lisbeth A. Fogg Charitable Trust, the Miami Downtown Development Authority, and by endowed funds granted by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children to underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs. Together with leadership support from Miami-Dade County, these funders enable the museum to transform the lives of young people in our community through our art education programs.
