PAMM Free Second Saturdays: New Year, New Artventure

January 13, 2024
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Past Event

As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays, create mixed media designs inspired by the diverse artworks in Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) Permanent Collection, embark on an “artventure,” and enjoy performances on the terrace.

Start the New Year by taking a fresh look at our updated family-friendly PAMM Port. This “artventure” guide allows families to learn and engage with the artworks in each of our overview galleries and allows guests to take a closer look at the materials and concepts of these works.

To add to our day of explorations, participate in BollyJazz workshop classes with Pooja Uberoi from IKIGAIUSA. Bollywood dance is a mix of dance styles performed in Bollywood films, including traditional Indian styles of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, folk styles, and modern jazz, hip-hop or belly dance. Jazz gives a dancer form and style while Bollywood allows you to experience and open up the body in a fun way.

For the rest of the day, you can explore the galleries, grab a meal at Verde, or sit back and enjoy the breeze on the waterfront terrace.

PAMM Free Second Saturdays are presented by PNC Arts Alive, Publix Super Market Charities, and The Edward C. Fogg, III and Lisbeth A. Fogg Charitable Trust. The program is made possible by endowed funds granted by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children to underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs. Together with leadership support from Miami-Dade County, these funders enable the museum to transform the lives of young people in our community through our art education programs.
