Artist Naomi Fisher, whose photograph in the permanent collection is on view in AMERICANA: Desiring Landscape, speaks briefly about the role of the natural world in her imagery and introduces Black Narcissus (1947), a film of her choice which reflects similar ideas in the exhibition.

Winner of two Oscars for Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.

Desiring Landscape gallery considers how representations of the landscape have been a means to explore human desires-from the sensual and sexual to the materialistic-to alternate interpretations of history.  In correlation to the film, a brief, free public tour of Desiring Landscape and Edouard Duval-Carrié: Imagined Landscapes will also be offered at 6:30pm.
