Join us for the first—of what will be many—hands-on art-making moments for members. Join PAMM Teaching Artist Noah Cribb to learn the frottage technique. This technique is the process of taking a rubbing from an uneven surface to form the basis of a work of art.
Exclusively for PAMM Members. Space is limited. An RSVP is required for this event.

Members must bring their own materials.
Items you’ll need:
- Paper/notepad/sketchbook (the thinner the better)
- Pencils/graphite sticks (PAMM will have a small supply)
- Any objects or materials that have interesting textures, shapes, or significance (i.e. coins, twigs, leaves, shells, stickers—go wild! Be sure to bring a variety.)
Prompt:
Create an abstract drawing (something from life) or surrealist drawing (allowing the unconscious to arise) by composing ordinary objects underneath a sheet of paper transforming the everyday into something of great significance. Exploring your own visual language, using the frottage technique.
