Shadows and Traces: Selections from PAMM’s Collection

This exhibition brings together women artists from PAMM’s collection who work in photography and printmaking to reflect on memory and the subtle imprints left by lived experiences. The title suggests the dual nature of these practices: shadows as echoes captured through the camera’s lens, and traces the physical impressions made visible through printmaking.

Through staged photographs and intricate print processes, the artists explore how personal and collective histories can be at once fleeting and enduring. Their works reveal unseen layers of identity, absence, and the emotional landscapes that persist in everyday life. Shadows and Traces thus becomes a meditation on how images and impressions allow us to perceive the intangible marks of experience, offering a quiet but resonant reflection on the ways these artists document their worlds.

Presenting artists are Belkis Ayón, Consuelo Castañeda, Naomi Fisher, María Martínez-Cañas, Ana Mendieta, and Joiri Minaya.
