As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays, celebrate Women’s History Month with a free day of art activtities inspired by the work of American Dominican artist Joiri Minaya, featured in Shadows and Traces: Selections from PAMM’s Collection.

Minaya’s work brings together bold patterns, rich textures, and cultural references. Her vibrant compositions encourage reflection on how pattern and environment shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.
In partnership with Miami Kids Magazine, families can also enjoy games, prizes, and special giveaways. During this free, family-friendly program, visitors of all ages are invited to create their own artworks inspired by Minaya’s practice. Using color, repetition, and imaginative patternmaking, participants can explore personal expression and tell stories about their identities and communities. The day also includes a docent-led tour of Shadows and Traces: Selections from PAMM’s Collection, offering deeper insight into Minaya’s work.
Join us for an afternoon of art-making, interactive experiences, and discovery as we celebrate women artists and the power of creative expression.
