Past Event

Meet us in PAMM’s auditorium for a conversation featuring leading new media artist Alfredo Salazar-Caro. He will contextualize his career as a digital artist working across a myriad genres such as portraiture, self-portraiture, installation, virtual reality, augmented reality, video, documentary, sculpture, biocompatible architecture, and social practice.

Salazar-Caro’s monumental augmented reality work Como Semillas en el Viento (Like Seeds in the Wind) debuted in 2024 as part of PAMM’s New Realities series. The work combines 3D-scanned artifacts from the Mexica pantheon with surreal 3D-scanned portraits of immigrant workers from Central and South America. Featuring a poetry soundtrack inspired by each individual in the work, Como Semillas en el Viento serves as an homage to their stories, their lives, and their contributions to society.

The talk will take place from 12-1pm in PAMM’s auditorium, followed by a Q&A session.
