Join artists Anna Biondo and Flor Godward for The Body as Territory, a participatory workshop and interactive installation that reimagines how we hold space, carry home, and navigate migration—I am not from here. I am not from there. I am not from everywhere.

Expanding on Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) This is America: Selection’s from PAMM’s Collection, this experience bridges individual memory with collective expression through wearable textile sculptures and symbolic architecture. Through writing and hands-on art-making, contribute your stories, memories, and identities to an evolving collective artwork.
Schedule
1pm | Tour of This is America
1:20pm | Artist presentation
2–3pm | Individual exploration

Activity 1: Words We Carry
Write a word, phrase, or short message inspired by your experiences of home, migration, and belonging, then place it within the installation. Together, these contributions form a growing archive of voices—an evolving artwork reflecting the diversity of stories that shape our communities.

Activity 2: Create a House
Each participant receives a small wooden house to paint and personalize—not as a replica of a physical home, but as a symbol of belonging shaped by memory, culture, family, or personal transformation. Houses may be taken home or added to a temporary community installation on view during the event.
