PAMM Art Storytime: Color, Curves, and Canvas

September 26, 2026
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Who says art has to stay inside the lines or on a flat canvas? Bring the whole family to PAMM Art Storytime to discover artist Justine Hill’s Bend 19, an extraordinary artwork that curves, bends, and stretches beyond the edges of a traditional canvas.

Together, we’ll discover how artists use color, shape, and movement to transform paintings into objects that seem to have energy of their own.

After an inspiring story about possibility and imagination, kids and caregivers will experiment with color and shape to build their own sculptural paintings. Think beyond rectangles and explore art that twists, overlaps, and reaches into space.

Organization and Support
PAMM Art Storytime is made possible by support from The Israel, Rose, Henry & Robert Wiener Charitable Foundation, The Edward C. Fogg, III and Lisbeth A. Fogg Charitable Trust, and by endowed funds granted by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Heckscher Foundation for Children to underwrite the museum’s broad portfolio of education programs. Together with leadership support from Miami-Dade County, these funders enable the museum to transform the lives of young people in our community through our art education programs.
